Where it all began
It started in India.
Malka began in India in 2016 with a love for natural stones, brass, handmade materials and the art of creating.
What started as a small creative journey gradually grew into an international business, connecting jewelry makers, macramé artists and creative businesses around the world with the materials we discovered along the way.
Over the years, we built lasting relationships with our team, suppliers, makers and manufacturers in India — relationships that continue to shape Malka today.
Nearly a decade later, India remains at the heart of what we do.

it was time to bring Malka closer.
Why Europe?
Closer to our makers.
For years, thousands of Malka pieces travelled from India to makers across Europe.
As our European community grew, we realized that many of our customers wanted something different. Not everyone needs wholesale quantities.
Sometimes you want ten charms, a handful of beads, one beautiful stone or a few different pieces to experiment with. And you shouldn’t have to place a large wholesale order to discover new materials.
So we brought Malka closer. Our new European stock in Cyprus allows us to offer smaller quantities and a retail experience created especially for European makers.

Malka began in India almost ten years ago, and I could never have imagined where this little business would take us.
Over the years it grew far beyond what I first imagined — through the people we met, the materials we discovered, the makers who found us and the incredible community that grew around Malka.
Europe is not a new beginning for Malka.
It’s a continuation of everything we’ve built — our materials, our team, our relationships and our love for creating.
